Prague, April 11 - The sixth annual Comic-Con pop culture festival begins today at the O2 universum hall in Prague. The event, which will run until April 13, will offer activities for visitors of all ages. The program will include discussions with guests, autograph sessions, celebrity photo shoots, film screenings and themed workshops. Those interested can also visit game zones with video games, virtual reality or a range of board games. There will also be a Pokémon zone, which will offer tournaments or a card exchange.

Among the announced guests are British actor and musician Jamie Campbell Bower, who starred in the Stranger Things series or the films Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, or Italian actor Franco Nero. Among the Czech celebrities, Martin Dejdar will be introduced, who will arrive at Comic-Con as Ozzak. Among the festival guests will also be cosplayers, YouTubers, writers and comic book creators.

This year's event will also include an exhibition of original movie posters from the 1970s and 1980s, as well as the TV Nova show Superlov with Ondřej Sokol. Other attractions include a giant statue of Sonic the Hedgehog and the evil scientist Dr. Eggman made of Lego bricks.

Last April, the event in Prague was attended by 27,000 people, the most in its five-year history. The first such gathering of fans of comics, sci-fi and fantasy films, series and books took place in the USA in 1970.
