Prague, September 25 - Singer, guitarist and composer Jason Mraz will return to Prague for a concert after eight years today. The two-time Grammy winner will perform at the Congress Center. Prague is one of 21 stops on Mraz's current Still Yours tour, during which the American musician with Czech roots is returning to solo acoustic concerts. During the performance, he shares with fans not only his chamber music but also the stories behind his hits.
Mraz has a specific relationship with the Czech Republic. Thanks to his grandfather, the artist has Czech ancestors. It was in Prague years ago that he filmed the video for the song Lucky, which won him a Grammy statuette in 2010. He won a second Golden Gramophone in the same year for the song Make It Mine in the category of best male pop performance.
He achieved his greatest success thanks to the global response to the song I'm Yours, to which the very title of the upcoming European tour – Still Yours – refers. To date, this song has over 800 million views on YouTube and has been covered numerous times.
In addition to the greatest hits, viewers can also look forward to current songs from Mraz's latest album Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride from 2023, which also includes the single I Feel Like Dancing. On this album, Mraz once again collaborated with producer Martin Terefe, who was behind the production of his most successful album We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things from 2008.
He also presented his fragile compositions inspired by pop, reggae, folk, jazz, rock and hip hop in the Czech Republic in 2011 at the Akropolis Palace in Prague in an acoustic form accompanied by his guitar and percussionist Noel Rivera.
Mraz is also known for many philanthropic activities. For example, a few years ago he was the star of a concert in Burma organized by the MTV television station in cooperation with American and Australian government humanitarian agencies and the anti-slavery organization Walk Free.
