Prague, May 2 - A concert by American blues rock musician Joe Bonamassa will take place in Prague today. The 47-year-old native of New Hartford, New York, who is considered the best blues player of his generation, will play at the O2 universum. The concert will feature new compositions with favorite songs from his entire career. The concert playlist is to include songs from the two-year-old album Blues Deluxe Vol. 2, which took first place on the Billboard Blues Chart.

At the age of 12, little Joe performed with the legendary B. B. King, Danny Gatton and many others. During his career, Bonamassa has collaborated with artists such as Eric Clapton, Stephen Stills, Joe Cocker, Paul Jones and Paul Rodgers. He brings two dozen guitars and a huge number of sets of strings with him to concerts.

Among the unique instruments he played is the prototype of the Gibson Les Paul "Bonabird" guitar - a Les Paul-type guitar with a head in the style of the Gibson Firebird model. Another interesting guitar is the Gibson Hotel California SG with two necks or the Gibson Korina Flying V from 1981.

A three-time Grammy nominee, Bonamassa was voted Guitarist of the Year in 2011 by the prestigious magazine Guitar International, and in 2010, readers of Guitar Player magazine voted him the Best Guitarist in the World for the first time and the Best Blues Guitarist for the fourth time since 2007. He released his first solo album, A New Day Yesterday, in 2000. He is a prolific songwriter - he has recorded over two dozen of his own albums and has guested on many others.

His non-profit organization Keeping The Blues Alive provides funds and resources to schools and artists in need and has so far positively impacted more than 100,000 students, while already receiving over two million dollars in donations.
