We visited one of the most beautiful places in the heart of the High Tatras in Slovakia - "Jahňací štít". One of the many that the High Tatras offer.

Jahňací štít is one of the highest peaks in the High Tatras in Slovakia. It lies above the small village of Tatranské Matliare, approximately 17 km from the town of Kežmarok.
Jahňací štít is accessible via the yellow marked trail from the "Zelené pleso" Cottage. Before the ascent to the peak, when crossing the Kolový priechod, the trail is more difficult, with chains leading along it.
The ascent from the cottage takes 2.5 hours, and the cottage can be reached either from "Skalnaté pleso" via "Veľká Svišťovka" or through the "Kežmarské Bielé vody" Valley from "Kežmarské Žľaby". Another option for access is the hiking trail from village "Ždiar" via "Široké and Kopské sedlo".
The rocky peak, accessible to tourists, offers an uninterrupted panoramic view of the surrounding area. The surrounding peaks of the High Tatras and Belianske Tatras are particularly visible. Under suitable conditions, the "Oravské Beskydy", "Levočské vrchy", "Slanské vrchy", "Branisko" and "Volovské vrchy" are also visible.
