Robbie Williams will perform in Prague today as part of his European tour

Prague, September 7 - British singer Robbie Williams, one of the most popular pop artists of our time, will perform in Prague today as part of his European tour. The former member of the boy band Take That is returning to the capital after eight years. His previous Prague concert took place in August 2017 in Letňany and offered a show full of light and pyrotechnic effects, which was watched by more than 30,000 people. This time he will perform in the O2 Arena.

The organizers will open the entrances to the hall at 6:30 p.m. An hour later, the British indie pop band Lottery Winners will perform as the opening act. Williams is expected to appear on stage at 8:40 p.m.

"This tour will be my most daring, I can't wait to see you next year. We will be playing songs from the movie Better Man and some new music," the singer told his fans last year.

The tour announcement comes as the biopic Better Man hits theaters in December. Directed by Michael Gracey, the film is based on Williams' true story and follows his journey from childhood to being the youngest member of Take That to his success as a solo artist, all while confronting the challenges that come with immense fame and success.

Williams holds several records for the number of live performances. On his 2006 world tour, he sold more than 1.6 million tickets in a single day. Also noteworthy is the record attendance of 375,000 fans over three nights at his concerts in Knebworth, Great Britain.

Williams first played in Prague in November 2003 to a sold-out hall at the Výstaviště. In 2014, he showed his love for older music in front of a sold-out O2 arena, and two years later, a million-dollar fee attracted him to the wedding of the daughter of Russian oligarch Rashid Sardarov in Žofín. In August 2017, he offered his show at the Letňany airport.

Williams, who was born on February 13, 1973, jumped into the world of show business in the early 1990s as a member of the boy band Take That. At that time, he attracted attention more with pranks and alcohol and drug escapades than with his musical performances. Today he is one of the big stars of the European music scene.
