A beautiful place in the Czech region Vysočina

This country offers, in addition to great experiences, exceptional conditions for fishing and unrepeatable scenery of nature and the entire country. We visited one very interesting place - the "Trnávka" reservoir in the Vysočina region.

Trnávka Reservoir (also known as Želiv Reservoir) is a dam on the Trnava River, located between Želiv and Červená Řečica in the Pelhřimov District of the Vysočina Region. It was built between 1977 and 1981. The dam, which is 200 m long, is located on 1.5 river kilometers of the Trnava River. The main purpose of this work, as with other water reservoirs in the Želivka basin, is to capture runoff that would otherwise pollute the Želivka-Švihov water reservoir. The reservoir is also used for electricity generation and recreational purposes.

You will find several beaches here, which tend to be nicely maintained. The entrance to the water is gradual in many places, which is especially appreciated by families with small children. It's an ideal place for them: the smaller beaches are well clear, so the little ones won't be out of sight. In addition, they are lined with pleasant forests, so you don't have to go far for shade. In the adjacent guesthouse, you can borrow various sports equipment - a pedal or a mountain bike.

Trnávka is an ideal place for fishing, you don't even need to buy a special permit, it was recently canceled and you only need the regional one. In addition to the beaches, you can fish here everywhere, and you can even go on a boat with a rod. A holiday at the dam would be appreciated by sportsmen and history buffs. The surroundings are literally interwoven with hiking trails that will take you through the picturesqueness of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. You will also find many cycling tracks here.
